Description

Another fine drawing I just received from :iconbinoched: ~Binoched, and is a pretty good cover concept for the second 'book' I plan to write.

Summary of the scene: the Imperial Central Authority are trying to secret out an ancient dreadnought (this ship is an ancient ship used in the war between heaven and hell, for the hell faction known as a Defiler ship) uncovered in the remote regions of the Free Frontier Territories (imagine a Wild Wild West area). The ancient ship has been refitted with numerous modern weapons in order to defend her in case she is attacked (as no one knows how to use her age-old weapons). The Republic of Arcadia finds out about this and plans an operation, and in a series of events (part of the plot) eventually gets the Marshalls and the Regulators (both vying Western factions in the area) to work together to bring down the juggernaught. The united allied airgroup is trying to inflict as much damage as possible before the ship escapes the canyon and has to be confronted by a small allied capital ship fleet that has been sent to stop her from escaping.

Important Fighters in the Scene:
Allied Republic fighters: Lionel's 'Black Lion' D4U Corsair is seen leading his squadron after an attack run on the dreadnought, followed closely by Alexia's own F4U Corsair 'Lady'. Lionel's heavy wingman, Linde Alton, can be seen flying the F7F Tigercat (the blue twin-engined plane with red trims) known called 'Black Widow' near Alexia's own plane. Lastly, an A-26 Invader attack bomber (and the squadron's intel/recon plane) is seen flying in the top right providing recon support to all the allied planes assisting in the attack.

Primary Allied fighters are P-39 Airacobras (Free Frontier), as flown by various Marshalls (in brown) and Regulators (in green). The fight is not shaping up too well for the allies, as evidenced by the many damaged or destroyed planes in the scene.
