Nation: The Imperial Central Authority of Man, Reichland origin
Class: Super Heavy Battleship Prototype
Role: Flagship
Unique Features: Upgunned battleship variant

Illustrated above is the famed King Tiger-class battleship employed by the Imperial Central Authority.  Using a radical prototype quadruple turret mount, this ship design originates from the northern ICA territories of Reichland - a major industrial region within the Authority.  Only two ships of her class have been constructed (the King Tiger I and King Tiger II) and both serve as imposing deterrents to Alkirian aggression (Reichland's hostile northern neighbors).  This ship is based off the Richelieu-class French battleships of WW2.
The King Tiger-class battleship is exceptionally well-armed for her class, equipped with eight 15-inch cannons (forward), three triple-barreled 8-inch guns (1 forward, 2 rear), six double-barreled DP 6-inch guns (3 on each side, centered), 56 dual-mounted 10.5cm Flak 38 batteries (28 per side), and 38 MG3 machine guns (19 per side).  Due to the excessive amount of weapons the King Tiger packs, these ships must be particularly careful to not burn through all their munitions before the conclusion of any battle they participate in.

In addition to careful munitions consumption and due to the sheer volume of fire these ship can produce, the King Tiger is notorious for its horrendous accuracy from the constant firing of all her secondary weapons  (greatly affecting the aim of her primary guns).  Because of that problem, the ICA has adopted a specific doctrine for this ship: she will only fire all her primary weapons (her 15 and 8 inch guns) or all her secondary - never both.  The only exception would be if this ship should find herself at knife-fighting range of enemy warships (where distance accuracy is no longer a concern).  This was precisely what contributed to the ICA victory over the Alkirian Sky Empire at the Battle of Storm Pike.

Looks like the Bismarck ...
Vaessili Featured By Owner Edited Jun 27, 2015
Not the Bismarck, but the Richelieu (or the "papership" Alsace class battlecruiser to be specific) with the paint of the Vittorio Venetto... :)

These are so awesome. I know nothing about ships, just that they go pew-pew on enemies.

The quad cannon is an absolute overkill.

Again, nice. Based on  French WWII battleships Jean Bart and Richelieu?

Nailed it! The French did have some pretty sophisticated warships for WW2!

Yeah. Too bad that they never really got to show off their capabilities.
