Commission request done by *DimMartin, this time illustrating the SSSR (San-San Saruk Republic) air force flying through the waterways of the Desert Capital. The pilots of this particular squadron are having a 'race' to break up the monotony of patrolling the usually tranquil capital, much to the shock and surprise of some of the capital's citizenry.
SSSR planes are distinctive when compared to the fighters of other nations due to their signature chin-mounted radiator design. While also not capable of a high flight ceiling, both the Hawker Tempest and P-40 Warhawk are rugged and tough planes well-suited for the harsh environments of the Saruk deserts. In addition, the 'airships' of the SSSR are known as 'sandships', low altitude but heavily armored airships perfect for patroling the low-rolling dunes that make up much of their country.= Planes in Illustration =
