After Spitfire had moved on (due to age and other responsibilities), Rainbow Dash naturally took over the Wonderbolts due to sheer talent and love of the job.
Much to Rainbow's surprise, a newly arrived recruit has just broken Dashie's old Academy records. And of course, as Rainbow gets to the end of the line...
NOTE: A LOT of people noticed a special cameo by one of my favorite 'background' ponies in this drawing. Can you guess who it is? ^^

Lovely! Rainbow Dash would do well as a Wonderbolt captain! 😄 And Scootaloo would deserve to be a Wonderbolt despite her inability to fly.
