Another drawing in the series of character piece illustration by Valkyrie-Girl, this time of the great and smug Warlord Coltrane, Ruler of the Trotterdam Warponies that reside in the Realm (where the Canterbury Knights are also living). Warlord Coltrane is the strongest warpony in all of Equestria, firmly believing that "Might Makes Right". If he could pick any theme song, it would definitely be "I Need a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler. He really believes he is the 'hero' and he's always fresh from a fight!

Some tidbits on the scenes above:
Coltrane and Cider! - What stallion wouldn't be cool without a frosty mug of Cider!
Coltrane and the Damsel in Distress - Key scene later in the story, Coltrane isn't the type to pick up girls... they sort of pick him up!
The Warlord and the Prince - Much 'bigger' than the future Crown Prince, Coltrane wasn't exactly happy that Canterbury won the Tournament of the Crown...!
Coltrane and Roan of Arc - Two conflicting schools of thought: Warlord Coltrane is both strong and impetuous while Roan of Arc is more about finesse and skill. Leads to much butting of heads!
Defender of Cupcakes! - The other nickname for his Warponies are also 'the Defenders of Cupcakes'! They really do like them there cupcakes!
