Hey all, just wanted to write a quick journal entry that I did return from visiting my grandmother on New Year's day, and that I haven't had a chance to post anything due to some major project work and catching up at work.

First of all, my grandmother is recovering at home and is in better shape and spirits!  When I arrived down in Tampa, FL to see her, I learned that she had been in the ICU for 8 days and that things were not looking good.  She suffered a heart arrhythmia, a stroke (and a clot in her brain), and kidney failure.  They had to put her on emergency dialysis and a cocktail of drugs to stabilize her.  Apparently before I came down, she was taken to another hospital where they screwed up her medication and gave her blood pressure medication that shot her BP through the roof!  So my family transferred her to a better hospital where they spent a week on the drug cocktails, removing and adding drugs one at a time to correct the damage done by the first hospital - hopefully in time before her whole body failed.  Four days before Christmas I went to visit her again at the hospital and she told me that she saw Jesus (mind you, my grandmother is from overseas and has been a devout Buddist all her life).

I asked her, "How did you know it was Jesus?"  My mom had told me my grandmother has hallucinations from all the drugs they were giving her at the hospital.

She said, "Well, he told me so."

At this point I began to get worried.  Was my grandmother seeing the 'light at the end of the tunnel'?  Was she about to make her peace with the world?

"What did he say?" I reluctantly asked.

"He told me not to worry and that he will take care of everything."

I started to cry because I didn't know if that meant she was going to recover or if she was going to be 'fine' in Heaven.

Two days later, she pretty much fully recovered (minus some short-term memory loss, she thinks she was only in the hospital for 3 days and not 3 weeks).

So two days before Christmas, they discharge her with a nebulizer (some sort of breathing apparatus) and she spent Christmas with the whole family (who had travelled to see her because we didn't think she was going to make it).  I came home the Sunday after Christmas week.

So yeah, that's my 'Christmas Miracle'.  A good Christmas present I have to say.  Now I myself am a Christian (maybe not the most devout!), and I'm not saying what my grandmother saw was true or wasn't.  But being it was before Christmas and she was never converted or fully exposed to it and now is suddenly a Christian, I'm taking it for what it's worth!

OK, now you're all wondering what else I've been up to?  I'm currently working on a comic book project deal to get my Lords of Sovereign project created and published.  So far, it looks like the rough estimate that it will be available will be mid-March, and I have been working on both my job and that project in what little spare time I have.  I will still continue my MLP fanfics for those who are wondering, and as a special gift I am working with Jowybean to comic-fy my Royal Flu submission that I submitted to EQD last year for an animated short (which didn't win but the script was still good).  I will be uploading new deviations/illustrations this week to showcase some of the stuff coming up!  And hopefully the finished fanfics I have!  Have a great night all, and thank you for all your best wishes.  Hope everyone had a Happy Holiday!

PS - To those who left me notes/replies/messages, I have over 200+ 'feedback' messages that I will be getting through.  Do know I always READ comments left for me but I can be slow on replies with all the stuff that's been going on in my life lately.  Please do not be offended as I never 'ignored' anyone!  Thank you all for your continued support and feedback!
